Samsung Nexus Two – Doesn’t That Look Like A Samsung Galaxy S?
If you think that you’re looking at a Samsung Galaxy S or the likes, you’re most definitely wrong although, it does look very similar. This is actually the next Google phone but instead of partnering with HTC as a hardware manufacturer, the Google Nexus Two this time is made by Samsung and it has been reported that the announcement will be made on 8 November, the same day as Windows Phone 7 sales. It’s not the final product yet though, it’s only a mockup from Gizmodo after gathering information from a source that had a hands-on experience.
According to the source, the phone is black and shiny, built with glossy plastic. There’s a curve to it when viewed up close, the back is curved, the possibly 4” AMOLED display is flat, and the front have some sort of a concave with hard edges. However unlike the Samsung Galaxy S and a description that sounds like an iPhone 3GS, the Nexus Two comes with a front facing camera which made Gizmodo believe that the phone will be running on the Android Gingerbread. Google is supposed to incorporate video chat into Gingerbread using the same protocol as Google Talk.
